This is just a random selection of photos from the UK, from around 2005 to 2015. There’s not a lot to link them: I was just looking through some old scans the other day and chose these.
There’s the one of Alex taking time out as I’m searching for photos to take, knowing that I might be some time but actually becoming the photo himself. There is the one of the family sitting among gravestones by the river at Marlow as a boat passes by, a curious juxtaposition of death, life, and transience. There’s the five kids on the beach at Aldeburgh, a lovely English seaside town in Suffolk. What else? The pelicans in St. James Park, which I used to call my back garden when I lived in London. Finally, the woman sitting in the church grounds in, if I recall correctly, the village of Cookham, the statue of the angel lurking over her shoulder.
If all goes to plan, I’ll be back in the UK next month, for three weeks.
Two of these photos were in an article for the Taipei Times
