One of the temple lions at the entrance to Songshan Ling Yin Si Temple 松山靈隱寺 on Xiangshan 象山 in western Taipei attracted my attention because of how the green algal growth almost camouflaged it against the backdrop of the foliage, and yet at the same time gave it an ethereal glow that set it apart from the dull green of the plants.
The name of the temple literally means concealed soul. There was nothing intentional about the algal camouflage, but it did strike me as most appropriate.

I loved the way this one turned out. There was something special about the light and the way it fell.
