To an extent, all photographs are a self-portrait. One is drawn to a scene because it contains something of one’s view of the world. But only to an extent. This was taken 15 years before I even noticed it. I imagine I was moved to take out the camera because of the interesting geometry of the scene. I post it here because I can easily see this now as falling into the “self-portrait” category, but it only resonates as such in my current circumstance, 15 years older and feeling constrained and an anachronism in my own environment. The world moves on, older generations sit in place.

OMG Paul! That’s such a powerful statement and introspective view that can only come from the experiences of daily living. The visuals we gather through out life eventually come back to represent us… a life well lived.
